Meaning making vs. buzz making

Several people have contacted me recently to learn more about the differences between buzz and meaning. (The second chapter in my book Beyond Buzz is “Make meaning, not buzz.” ) Here’s a quick explanation. I’ll share more in future posts.

    Great point! I recently talked to Zocalo Group’s Paul Rand about the difference between buzz and sustainable word of mouth. He characterized buzz as a company’s "15 minutes of fame," which I think is spot on and very similar to your perspective.
