Great viral video: Axe Naughty to Nice
Here’s a hilarious viral video, “Axe Naughty to Nice Program,” that is likely to get viewed by more people than a traditional ad with a big TV media budget. I especially like the spoof on the PR guy. A great example of the power of video done right. (Although I’m sure some —not Axe’s target — will have issues with parts of it.)

Thank you very much: I needed a good laugh today. My husband and I watched it together and agree with you: PR Spoof Guy is a gas.
As for issues with aspects of this mockumentary style piece, controversy will just increase viewing (as was likely anticipated) AND I for one am happy to see the pendullum continuing to swing back from the creativity squeeze of wholesale sensitivity and political correctedness (aka censorship). Neither side of that little response continuum is healthy long-term- for society or for victims of crime.
And hey, a good laugh - especially at ourselves - is the best medicine.
Bringing things back to a viral video focus, isn’t this piece evidence against the argument that effective viral video isn’t formula-friendly and can’t be promised: it just happens?
Or is it your view that a good viral video is more a case of budget enough to allow room for a thorough and studied creative process?
The occassional low-budget magic notwithstanding…
